Salimpour Belly Dance has developed the premier methodology for teaching belly dance, ensuring that students enjoy the beautiful culture, music and movement from which this dance originates. Belly Dance originates from the SWANA region (Southwest Asia & North Africa), and features distinct stylizations from each county, The Salimpour pedagogy equips students with necessary skills and movement vocabulary to dance any regional stylization. Grounded in the essence of cultural celebration and inclusivity, Salimpour Belly Dance teaching philosophy fosters a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, embracing individuals of all ages and backgrounds, while nurturing a sense of community and providing opportunities for performance, thus embodying the values and goals of the Salimpour tradition.
Meanwhile, Odissi Dance is Bhakti (devotion) in motion and in its complex and grounding form, that carries memories of the ancient. By honoring the tradition of this dance that has been cultivate for millennia, Nubia brings a new light and a lot of joy to the way she presents this art form to you.
