About the Performance

We believe in supporting our community. Amanda has been a dedicated member of the Salimpour School for the past seven years. This recital serves as part of her examination for the Performance-level certification course she participated in between August and November 2024. During the performance, she will showcase the requisite choreographies in an unforgettable show that highlights her skills across various dance styles.

Historically, these recitals were held in Albany, California, but now they are produced by the dancers in their hometowns, allowing friends and family to be part of this performance experience.

The Salimpour School Journey

At the Salimpour School, students progress through a structured curriculum that includes five levels: Fundamentals, Foundations, Intermediate, Performance, and Teaching. Each level builds upon the last, providing specialized training in technique, rhythm identification, choreography, improvisation, and much more. By the time dancers reach the Performance level, they must complete two recitals—this Choreography Recital being the first.

This showcase will feature a combination of choreographies that not only reflect Amanda’s hard work but also demonstrate her growth as a dancer. It’s a celebration of her achievements and a testament to the dedication required to reach this level.

We would love for you to join us in celebrating Amanda’s accomplishments. Whether you choose to attend in person or online via Zoom, your presence will mean the world to her. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to witness an incredible performance and support local artistry. We can’t wait to see you there.
