Antique Hickory Ski Poles Vintage Skis A wonderful set of CombiAntique Hickory Ski Poles c. 1920s 30s, 20th Century Wood, leather, metal, cloth 48" tall x 7" basket diameter Vintage Winter Hickory downhill ski poles with webbed fabric strap. The baskets have been replaced with authentic double ring rattan and leather baskets. A great looking set. Ski Pole History: Single poles were used until about 1910 and made of a hardwood (hickory, willow, oak, etc.) to be sturdy and strong push sticks. In the 1920s, bamboo
