The square enamel emblem bears the inscription "HIROSHIMA" and shows a stylized symbol with a gold colored rice ear motif on a white blue green background typical of Japanese design of the late 1960s. The reverse side features embossed Japanese characters ( ), indicating the Hiroshima Tetsudo Yakybu ("Hiroshima Railway Baseball Club") or its
